UP: BHU professor killed in road mishap
Varanasi, Mar 27: A professor of the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) was killed in a road mishap in the Lanka area here police said here today.
The mishap took place in the Sunderpur area last evening when Prof Vijay Shankar Jaiswal (62), a bio-technology expert, driving a scooter came in contact with a truck coming from the opposite direction.
The professor was rushed to the BHU hospital where the doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Prof Jaiswal is survived by wife Uma also a professor at BHU, a son and a daughter.
