AP to launch 'Arogya Sri' from Apr 1
Hyderabad, Mar 27 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the government would launch 'Arogya Sri' health insurance scheme for the poor from April one in the state.
According to an official release here, Dr Reddy said the new scheme, being launched simultaneously in three districts on a pilot basis, would be implemented by the government in collaboration with Star Health and Allied Insurance Company.
The white card holder and his family members are entitled to the scheme. Ailments pertaining to kidney, heart and brain would be covered under the programme.
A toll-free helpline would also be set up for making services easily accessible to the rural poor, Dr Reddy added.
