3 sentenced in photo-journalists attack case

Kannur, Mar 27 (UNI) A local court today sentenced three persons, including a panchayat president, to six months imprisonment for attacking photo-journalists.

Kannur Judicial First class Magistrate Anandhakrishnan sentenced Pallikunnu Panchayat President P K Rajesh, P Prajith and V V Rajesh to six months imprisonment.

The photo-journalists were attacked in 2004, when they tried to take pictures of Congress workers, who were accused in a murder attempt case.

The three other accused were set free.
