Bihar: 400 fall ill after consuming adulterated food

Ara, Mar 26: Over 400 people have fallen ill after consuming adulterated food during a fair on the occasion of (Chaiti chhath) at Belaur village under Udwantnagar police station here.

Official sources said here today that the people visiting the ongoing fair on Saturday last had consumed adulterated food after which they started feeling nauseouc followed by high fever.

The sources said that 50 people, who were taken ill, had been admitted at the sadar hospital while the rest were undergoing treatment at local clinics.

A team of doctors had been sent to the village for providing medical aid.
