270 people killed in factional clashes since 2003
Kohima, Mar 26: Nagaland Home Minister Thenucho today informed the Assembly that altogether 270 people, includng 34 civilians, were killed in 378 inter-factional clashes in Nagaland during last five years.
Replying to a question of former Finance Minister K Therie during the question hour of the 14th Session of the Nagaland Assembly, Mr Thenucho informed the House that out of 270 people--110 were NSCN(K) activists, 101 NSCN-IM cadres, 25 ''Federal Government of Nagaland''(FGN) cadres and 34 civilians.
He also said 159 persons were injured in the clashes during the said period. Out of the total injured--61 were NSCN(K) members, 45 of NSCN-IM, nine of FGN and 44 civilians.
