Swarovski India looking at top 12 cities by '09

For
those
with
a
passion
for
crystals
and
a
magnanimous
heart
to
lighten
their
pockets
easily,
Swarovski
today
unveiled
its
latest
collection
'Wonders
of
the
Sea'
and
announced
plans
to
have
30
shops
across
India
by
2009.
The
company
in
the
gifting,
fashion
accsessories
and
home
decor
business
has
a
presence
in
six
cities,
including
the
metros,
all
over
the
country
with
about
13
shops.
''Looking
at
the
growing
popularity
of
Swarovski
crystals
in
India,
we
will
set
up
more
shops
here
to
reach
30
by
2009.
We
will
we
be
in
the
top
12
cities
including
Pune,
Chandigarh
and
the
metros
in
the
next
two
years,''

here.
Though
the
shops
will
not
be
company-owned,
they
will
be
held
by
dealers
authorised
and
trained
by
Swarovski
India,
he
said
adding
that
an
average
shop
is
spread
across
an
area
of
700-800
square
metres.
The
new
collection
--
a
trilogy
of
'Eternity',
'Harmony'
and
'Community'
--
comprises
of
three
crystal
pieces
priced
at
Rs
22,495
each
and
together
give
an
impression
of
an
aquarium.
While
the
Eternity
is
made
up
of
a
turtle
and
a
coral,
the
Harmony
Swarovski
encircles
two
fishes
taking
honey
from
a
flower.
The
third
'Community'
Swarovski
denotes
a
trio
of
fishes.
The
world's
largest
manufacturer
of
cut
crystals
turns
20
this
year
while
it
came
to
India
in
2001.
