Bangkok's international airport reopens

Bangkok's
international
airport
reopened
today
for
domestic
flights
with
three
airlines,
including
the
national
carrier,
starting
the
services.
Renamed
Don
Muang
Iinternational
Airport,
it
will
be
used
by
Thai
Airways
International,
Orient
Thai
and
Nok
Air.
The
reopening
of
the
airport
became
necessary
in
view
of
the
ongoing
repair
work
on
some
defective
runways
and
other
facilities
at
the
new
Suvarnabhumi
Airport,
which
opened
on
28
September
last
year.
Don
Muang
will
handle
about
20
per
cent
of
the
passenger
air
traffic
while
domestic
flights
with
international
connections
will
be
handled
by
Suvarnabhumi.
