Ashok Leyland to cross the 11,000 mark

Visakhapatnam, Mar 25: The Ashok Leyland Ltd Chief Operating Officer Vinod K Dasari today said the company would cross the 11,000 mark in 2007.

Talking to mediapersons here, he said the new tractors, with the latest equipments and special tools and technology with high horse-power would be launched next month. In view of the requirements of the customers in Andhra Pradesh, especially from Vizianagaram, Srikakulam and Visakhapatnam districts, a new branch was opened in Autonagar in the city with 20 bays and have also made a provision for future expansion.

He also said the automotive had been designing value-added services and products from time to time to suit the customers requirements. The 24 hour helpline service and other service products and annual maintenance contracts were customized to suit the needs of the customers, he added.

The automitve manufacturer was the pioneer in the auto-dealer business in the country.

He said, the company had coursed a long way through its wide network of branches, in the states Maharashtra, Gujarat and Andhra Pradesh, supported by experienced professionals.
