AIR to broadcast show on Dr Punjabrao Deshmukh

Nagpur, Mar 25: The All India Radio (AIR) station here will begin broadcasting a programme on late Dr Punjabrao Deshmukh, a noted educationist and the first Agriculture Minister of independent India, from April 10.

AIR Nagpur Station Director Gunwant Thorat said the programme would be aired on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It would consist of 26 episodes, each of 15 minutes duration.

The centre would also broadcast programmes on noted litterateur late Kishore Shantabai Kale, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar and the 1857 war of independence, Mr Thorat added.
