Silver, Gold fall on bearish global advices

Mumbai, Mar 24: Both the precious metals fell today on bearish global advices, with Silver down by Rs 80 per kg and pure Gold by Rs 60 per ten gm on the Bombay Bullion Exchange.

Silver came down at Rs 19,435 per kg on lack of fresh demand.

Later, it slightly improved and closed at Rs 19,450 per kg, with a loss of Rs 80 from yesterday's close.

Similarly in London, Silver was down at US 13.06/13.13 dollars per troy ounce against USD 13.37/13.41 per troy ounce in New York.

Standard Gold (99.5) and pure Gold (99.9) moved downward at Rs 9,320 and Rs 9,365 per ten gm on poor industrial demand.

The yellow metal improved slightly and closed at Rs 9,330 and Rs 9,375, with a loss of Rs 55 for standard Gold and Rs 60 for pure Gold from their last close.

In London, the yellow metal eased at USD 654.10/656.00 per troy ounce as compared to USD 660.40/662.00 per troy ounce in New York on Friday.

Following are the spot Silver and Gold closing prices: Silver (per kg) .999 grade : Rs 19,450 (19,530) Gold (per 10 gm): Standard mint 99.5 purity : Rs 9,330 (9,385) Pure gold 99.9 purity : Rs 9,375 (9,435).
