Jayalalithaa Wealth Case adjourned to Apr 28

Bangalore, Mar 24: The Special Court hearing former Tamil Nadu chief minister J Jayalalithaa wealth case today adjourned the sitting to April 28. The case relating to wealth held by the AIADMK supremo disproportionate to her known source of income was being heard by the Special Court of Judge A T Munoli. The adjournment was due to a petition being heard by the Supreme Court on clubbing the London Hotel case by the Special Court.

Disproportionate assets cases were filed against Ms Jayalalithaa and others in 1997 and in 2004, the Supreme Court transferred them for trial to a Special Court here. The face value of the assets allegedly amassed by her was about Rs 66.65 crore according to the petition Besides Ms Jayalalithaa the other accused in the case were her associate V Sashikala Natarajan, V N Sudhakaran and Ilavarasi. T V Dinakaran is an accused in the London hotel case.
