GSU calls off night road blockade

Shillong, Mar 24: The Garo Students' Union (GSU) has called off the night road blockade following invitation by Chief Minister D.D.

Lapang for talks tomorrow.

According to Union President T.Sangma, the night road blockade was called off temporarily, in response to the chief minister's invitation for talks.

The night road blockade was imposed by the GSU, a fortnight ago, in protest against the frequent change of leadership in the state.
