Dubai ruler to visit India on March 25 - 26

New Delhi, Mar 24: Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is also Vice-President and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), arrives here tomorrow on a two-day State visit.

Sheikh Mohammed, who will be accompanied by a high-level official and business delegation, will meet President A P J Abdul Kalam and have discussions with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and other senior Ministers and dignitaries.

He is also expected to attend a business meeting to be organised by the ASSOCHAM in cooperation with CII and FICCI.

An official spokesman said India look forward to the visit.

''The visit is expected to substantially strengthen bilateral ties and enhance the multi-faceted cooperation between the two countries,'' the spokesman added.

Sources said that although discussions between the Dubai ruler and Indian leaders would be focussed on economic cooperation, India is likely to take up the issue of terrorist funding by some agencies via Dubai.
