4 pilgrims killed in Tejpurghati

Pathalgaon (Chhattisgarh), Mar 24: Four members of a family, including two women, were killed on the spot and two others seriously injured when a truck trailer dashed against their car from behind at Tejpurghati in Dharamjaigarh police station area of Jashpur district this morning, police said.

The victims belonging to a family here were on their way for pilgrimage at Ambetikra near here.

The deceased were identified as Mrs Shanti Agrawal(50), Ms Archana(20), Ashish (22) and Kanha (4).

Pawan Agrawal and his mother, who were seriously injured, were being taken to a hospital at state capital, Raipur.

Two-year-old boy Shyam, who was thrown out of the vehicle following the collision, had a miraculous escape and did not suffer even a scratch, police added.
