35 sovereigns of gold looted in Kerala

Thrissur (Kerala), Mar 24: A gang of masked robbers looted 35 sovereigns of gold and Rs 20,000 from a house in Kizhakkumpattukara near here.

Police said yesterday the armed robbers came in a car and barged into the residence of retired Water Authority Assistant Engineer Vellakkal Savitri Amma and looted the house.

Investigations were on to nab the culprits, police added.
