3 killed in road accident near Hirapur

Sagar (MP), Mar 24: Three persons, including a police constable, were killed in two different but related road accidents near Hirapur in this district yesterday, police said.

A 16-year-old boy Tulsiram was crushed to death by a Chhatarpur-bound dumper at Hirapur.

As the driver sped away with the dumper, Police Constable Ramsevak Niranjan and Hirapur's former Sarpanch and Congress leader Munnilal Bansal made a chase on a motorcycle, but they collided with a bus in Sathiaghati area and both were killed on the spot.

The agitated villagers resorted to road blockade at Hirapur for some time.

Police later arrested the dumper driver in Bada-Malehra area.
