Yashodhara Raje Scindia resigns from MP House
Bhopal, Mar 23: Madhya Pradesh Tourism, Sports and Youth Welfare Minister Yashodhara Raje Scindia today resigned from the Assembly following her election to the Lok Sabha in a byelection from Gwalior recently.
Ms Raje, younger sister of Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, submitted her resignation to Speaker Ishwardas Rohani. She, however, has not resigned as minister.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and other BJP leaders were present when she submitted the resignation to the Speaker. Her resignation was likely to be accepted today itself, Assembly sources said.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms Scindia reiterated her commitment to work for the state's development.
