Mizoram to implement Education Act 2003

Aizawl, Mar 23: Mizoram government has decided to implement the State Education Act 2003 to check the growth of unauthorised schools, official sources said here today.

Sources said the Assembly had passed the act following state cabinet's approval and a notification had already been circulated for immediate enforcement of the act.

It had been made mandatory in the act to take prior permission before six months of the opening of a new school.
