Extension of loan waiver to all farmers: BJP-JD(S)

Bangalore, Mar 23: Legislators of JD(S)-BJP coalition government, irrespective of their party affiliation, today favoured extension of loan waiver to all farmers.

Speaking to newsmen after a joint meeting here, Karnataka Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy told newsmen that the members were for extension of loan waiver to all farmers, however a final decision in this regard would be taken after discussing with Deputy Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, who also holds Finance portfolio.

He said that the government would respond to the demand positively and Mr Yadiyurappa would make a statement on the issue during his reply on the budget discussion.

Stating that the meeting was held under cordial atmosphere, he said that issues relating to Power, Drinking water and Housing were discussed.
