Two nabbed, 4 kg heroin seized in Phagwara

Phagwara, Mar 22 (UNI) Police today arrested two Jammu-based members of a gang of inter-state narcotic smugglers and recovered 4 KG of heroin meant for a Nigerian in New Delhi, here today.

The accused have been identified as Bariam Singh and Gurbax Singh of Jammu. Both were travelling in a truck from Jammu to Delhi and were scheduled to meet a Nigerian citizen to sell the consignment worth Rs 4 crore, police said.

On interrogation the two revealed that the heroin was sent by one Ramesh Kumar Patwar, police said, adding that the questioning was on and it expected several more disclosures.
