TVS-E dot matrix printer bags channels' choice award

Chennai, Mar 22 (UNI) Leading IT peripheral manufacturer TVS Electronics (TVS-E) has won the Channels' Choice Award 2007 for Dot Matrix Printer.

TVS-E printers were voted Best Dot Matrix Printers in the country by DQ Channels, based on the Channel Satisfaction Survey that was conducted amongst the channel partners across the country, a company statement said here yesterday.

TVS-E had an edge over competition for its superior product quality, after-sales service and brand image, amongst other factors attributed by channels.

It was rated amongst the top companies for its marketing support, securing 75.6 per cent above the industry average of 74.7 per cent, with attributes such as innovative programmes, allocation of marketing funds, point of sales materials and advertising as the four key attributes evaluated by channels.

Conducted annually with the objective of finding which vendor was the favourite among channels and for what reasons, the DQ Channels - IDC Channel Satisfaction Survey covered 18 key cities with a given sample size.

The respondents to the survey were asked to name the best vendor and substantiate their opinion by choosing a strong reason from a list of five.

TVS-E was leading in the Indian dot matrix printer market with a share of 43 per cent as per the latest GARTNER reports, the statement added.
