TVS-E director to be new CII chairman

Chennai, Jul 22 (UNI) TVS Electronic Limited (TVS-E) director Gopal Srinivasan will be the next chairman for Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Tamil Nadu region.

Talking to UNI here today, CII current chairman Sanjay Jayavarthanavelu disclosed that he would handover the charge to his successor today.

"After taking the charge as the chairman, Mr Gopal will elect other official members", he added.

Mr Gopal Srinivasan, is a member of the TVS Group and is the whole time Director of TVS Electronics Limited, Joint Managing Director of Sundaram-Clayton Limited and TVS Motor Limited and also Director of various other TVS Group companies.

Over the past decade, he has steered the TVS Group to success in the face of global competition.
