JK: Three more Lashkar militants arrested

Srinagar, Mar 22: Jammu and Kashmir police arrested three militants of Pakistan based Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) before they could execute their plans to target security forces in north Kashmir.

According to intelligence inputs, the LeT militants were planning to target security forces, a police spokesman said, adding Srinagar police has raided different hideouts in the city and parts of north Kashmir since yesterday.

The three arrested LeT militants were identified as Faisal alias Viky alias Abu Saleem, Ahteshamul Malik and Zubeer alias Abu Hurara, he said.

Eight militants of the same group were arrested by the police and security forces during the past one week, the spokesman said.

The militants were active in north Kashmir and were involved in a number of attacks on security forces, he said.
