Special police exchange fire with Maoists

Visakhapatnam, Mar 22 (UNI) The special police party exchanged fire with the banned Maoists at Valasapalli village here this evening.

According to police official sources, the combing operations were still continuing. Top police officials were monitoring the search for the Maoists.

Six Maoists escaped in the forest in Orissa border area.

Police recovered one nine mm carbon and a kit bag.
