Rahul's remark on Rao immature: Acharya Dharmendra

Jaipur, Mar 22 (UNI) Member of the Ram Janmabhumi high-powered committee and VHP Margadharshak Mandal Acharya Dharmendra today termed ''immature'' the comment of Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on the role of former Prime Minister Narashimha Rao in the demolition of the disputed structure in Ayodhya.

While addressing a news conference, the Acharya lauded the role of Mr Rao and said by dubbing the demolished structure in Ayodhya 'Babri Masjid' the Amethi MP committed contempt of the court as the matter was sub judice and in turn hurt the sentiments of crores of Ram devotees in the country.

He said like his father. the late Rajiv Gandhi, Rahul was also surrounded by advisors who made him say these things with an eye on the UP elections and Muslim votes.

Dharmendra said, '' Whether the statement would fetch the Congress Muslim votes is uncertain, but one thing is certain == by making those comments Rahul, who is the heir apparent of the Congress, has done irreparable damage to his party.'' Acharya Dharmendra also dared Mr Gandhi to have a debate with him on the issue.
