Narayan Murthy to give away Manjunath Award on Mar 24

Lucknow, Mar 22 (UNI) The Manjunath Shanmugam Trust will hold the first Manjunath Shanmugam Integrity Award ceremony on March 24, even as the verdict in the sensational murder case is expected tomorrow at Lakhimpur Kheri.

The award would be presented by Infosis founder N R Narayan Murthy in Banglore.

The name of the awardee would be announced at the function to be held at Indian Insititute of Managment, Bangalore (IIM-B).

Several eminent guests have been invited in the inaugural function to remember the IIM-Lucknow passout, who was murdered in November 2005.

A native of Karnataka, the IIM-L graduate had joined the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) in July 2003. In October the same year, he was appointed Area Sales Officer (ASO) of Lakhimpur Kheri.

He was allegedly killed inside Mittal Automobile Petrol Pump at Gola Gokarn in Lakhimpur Kheri district on November 19, 2005.
