Jayant Patil equals record of presenting nine budgets

Mumbai, Mar 22 (UNI) Maharashtra Finance minister Jayant Patil today presented the ninth consecutive Budget and equalled the record of Union Power minister Sushilkumar Shinde, who had tabled equal number of budgets as the state Finance minister.

Mr Patil is the Finance minister since Congress-NCP government came to power in 1999 and since then he has tabled consecutive budgets.

While Mr Patil tabled the budget in the legislative assembly, minister of state for Finance Dr Sunil Deshmukh presented it in the legislative council.
