J P Yadav vexed ove non-selection
Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, Mar 22 (UNI) All-rounder Jai Prakash Yadav is vexed over not being listed in the 30 World Cup probables despite a splendid performance in domestic cricket.
''I played well in the Ranji and Deodhar trophy matches,'' the Bhopal-based Yadav told UNI. He is representing West-Central Railway in the 52nd All-India Inter-Railway Championship underway here.
Yadav has to his credit a world record score of 69 while playing as the ninth batsman against New Zealand at Harare.
Maintaining that his present priority was to secure a berth in the national team for the 20/20 Cricket World Cup in South Africa next month, he added that he was focussing on bowling.
''The loss to Bangladesh at Port of Spain was the result of weak strategy. The Captain and Coach should take full responsibility. I feel that India's Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh will perform excellently while Aussie skipper and batsman Ricky Ponting will emerge as the championship's best player,'' Yadav added.
