Essential commodities exempted from VAT

Ranchi, Mar 22 (UNI) Jharkhand Finance Minister Stephen Marandi today announced that many essential commodities will be exempted from VAT for the next fiscal too.

Like previous year, commodities, including rice, wheat, flour, suji, besan, grams and pulses were exempted from the purview of the VAT, said Mr Marandi during his reply to debate on budget.
