CPT receives threatening letter
Kochi, Mar 22 (UNI) The Cochin Port Trust (CPT) received an anonymous letter threatening the security of the port, a CPT spokesperson said today.
The spokesman said the letter, addressed to CPT Chairman N Ramachandran, was received on Tuesday by post and stated that there would be terrorist attacks on foreign vessels calling at the port.
He said the letter, written in coarse English, was handed over to the Kerala Police and investigations were on.
The spokesperson said the security cover provided by the CISF was foolproof to counter any threat to the port.
