Capital punishment awared by Fast track court

Midnapur Mar 22 (UNI) A Fast Track Court today awarded death sentence to one Buddhadeb Giri for killing Snehasis Das, a local committee member of the CPM in Dharampur village.

On May 26,2006, Snehasis a DYFI leader was sitting in a tea shop in Baita Bazar when five masked men came in a car and killed him.

Buddhadeb's father is an Ex- Panchayet Pradhan of Gram Panchayet Samity. This Fast Track Court judgment leading to death penalty was given in a record time of ten months.
