BJP promises 'Kalyan Rajya' in UP
Varanasi, Mar 22 (UNI) After successfully harping on its philosophy of 'Ram Rajya' in the past, BJP today announced establishing a 'Kalyan Rajya' if voted to power in Uttar Pradesh.
''BJP is committed to the establishment of Kalyan Rajya in UP if voted to power,'' party national general secretary and former union minister Ananth Kumar told newspersons here today.
Asked to elaborate further, Mr Kumar said, ''Kalyan Rajya meant a welfare state governed by former chief minister Kalyan Singh.'' The BJP leader, who will be the election in charge for 49 seats of Kashi 'prant' (division), further said BJP is the only alternative to the cruel and mafia rule of Mulayam Singh Yadav and corrupt regime of Mayawati. The Congress has become marginalised and only BJP can provide a stable government in UP, he added.
Mr Kumar, claiming the BJP will be number one party in the coming polls, said the results of assembly polls in Uttarakhand and Punjab will be replicated by the party in UP also.
The former union minister also said the misrule of the Congress -led UPA at the Centre and the recent Nandigram episode will also be a poll issues in UP.
When queried about the protesting voice of firebrand BJP MP from Gorakhpur, Yogi Adityanath, Mr Kumar said all such issues will be amicably resolved soon. He also said there was no danger to the BJP-JD(U)-Apna Dal alliance in UP as all three parties are the prime opponents of the anti-people Mulayam regime in UP.
