Singapore, Mar 22 (UNI) US-based communications holding company AT&T Inc has established a customer briefing centre (CBC) here to offer its IP services and solutions to businesses and multinational customers in the region.

The company's first such centre in the Asia Pacific region, the Singapore CBC is part of AT&T's global enterprise capital programme.

It recently announced that it will invest 750 million dollars in its global business as part of a multi-billion dollar 2007 capital investment programme.

The CBC joins other network operations centres located in the UK and the US to form an important hub in AT&T's global network monitoring and services delivery infrastructure.

''Singapore is an important regional and global network hub for AT&T and we will continue to invest in and grow our operations in the country,'' said AT&T Singapore Country General Manager Collis Loh.

The new CBC will allow customers to test and deploy new innovations and solutions from AT&T, as well as tap the in-house engineering expertise within a purpose-built environment, he added.

In addition to hosting the only customer briefing centre in the Asia Pacific region, Singapore has also become the main service and support hub for the region with multi-lingual, 24x7 helpdesk support.

AT&T's Singapore revenues grew by 19 per cent in 2006, while the ASEAN region -- including India -- grew by 45 per cent making it the fastest growing region for AT&T in the Asia Pacific region.
