38 major projects commits Rs 43,000 crore investment
Mumbai, Mar 22 (UNI) The Mega Industry policy announced by Maharashtra government has received overwhelming response as 38 major projects have been attracted to the state during last one and half years, committing an investment of Rs 43,000 crore.
Presenting the budget for 2007-08, Finance Minister Jayant Patil said to facilitate timely payment of financial incentives, substantial provision of Rs 400 crore has been proposed.
He said industrial, investment and infrastructure policy 2006 had been announced to encourage industrial investment and to generate employment opportunities.
