Trident MD is Punjab CII chief

Chandigarh, Mar 21 (UNI) Mr Rajinder Gupta and Mr J R Singal have been elected as the new Chairman and Vice Chairman of the CII Punjab State Council for the year 2007-08, a CII statement today stated.

Mr Gupta, the founder of Trident Group, started his entrepreneurial journey in the year 1985 with a small investment. He has been serving Abhishek Industdries Ltd, the flagship company of Rs 1,500 crore Trident Group as its Managing Director since 1992.

Mr Gupta has been conferred with the Padma Shri and also the Distinguished Entrepreneurship Award 2005. He was also presented the Udyog Ratna Award by the Punjab government for the year 2005.

Mr Singal is Managing Director of Eastman Cast and Forge.
