Railway guard killed

Ujjain, MP, Mar 21 (UNI) A railway guard was stabbed to death and his body thrown off a goods train at Nagda Railway Division late night by a deranged youth, as he wanted to become a railway guard himself, police said today.

The train was heading to Ujjain via Nagda when the accused boarded it when it slowed down at Bhatisuda station near Nagda Junction.

He then stabbed the guard to death before throwing him off the train.

Railway Police sources said a young man was found in suspicious condition this morning. On being questioned, he said he was railway guard and started running away.

However, police rounded him and nabbed him.

On interrogation, he revealed that his name was Mangi Lal. He admitted that he killed guard Bhagat and reached Ujjain by giving signals.

He said he wanted to become a guard since childhood. He lived in industrial town Nagda in Madhya Pradesh.
