Opp members stage walkout once again from W B Assembly
Kolkata, Mar 21 (UNI) Opposition members staged a walkout from the West Bengal Assembly again today as a volatile situation continued to prevail over the Nandigram incident.
In a preemptive move against the Opposition belligerence, host of security personnel threw a ring around the well shielding the Speaker and the Ministers.
As soon as the question hour began, the slogan-shouting Opposition repeatedly tried to storm the well, demanding the chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee'' resignation but were held back by the security men.
After continuing the uproar nearly for an hour the Congress members walked out in protest against the ''breach of privilege'', followed by the Trinamool members.
While the Congress members later took part in the proceedings, the Trinamool legislators boycotted the House for the day.
