Non-Ferrous metals decline
Mumbai, Mar 21 (UNI) Non-ferous metals declined on poor industrial demand along with London Metal Exchange (LME) today, traders at the Bombay Metal Exchange (BME) said.
In Ferrous segment, copper utencil hiked by Rs 200 on good industrial demand while Brass cutting eased by Rs 100 due to lack of fresh demand.
In Non-ferrous category, Copper wire bar and Aluminium Ingot slashed by Rs 300 and Rs 400 per quintal due to sluggish demand.
Zinc slab and Lead Ingot also fell by Rs 100 each per quintal on thin buying support.
Tin slab went up by Rs 10 per kg on lesser stock supply while Nickel cathode came down by Rs 40 per kg on increase offers by stockists.
Following are the spot metal prices per quintal: Ferrous metals: Copper heavy - Rs 33,200, Copper utensils - Rs 30,700, Brass utensils - Rs 24,500, Brass cuttings - Rs 25,700 and aluminium utensils - Rs 12,000.
Non-ferrous metals: Copper wire bars - Rs 36,100, Aluminium ingots - Rs 14,000, Zinc slab Rs 18,200, Lead ingots - Rs 9,000, Tin slab - Rs 745 (per kg) and Nickel cathode - Rs 2,250 (per kg).
