MP Madarssa Board members's eligibility to be examined
Bhopal, Mar 21 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Government today assured the Assembly that the eligibility of State Madarssa Board members will be examined.
After the matter was raised by Mr Arif Aqueel (Cong) during the Question Hour and upon Speaker Ishwardas Rohani's intervention, School Education Minister Narottam Mishra gave the assurance that the process would be completed before the next assembly session.
Earlier, Mr Aqueel said it was good that the Madarssa Board Chairman tendered his resignation when the matter of eligibility came up. However, action must be taken against other members because their eligibility was in doubt.
Mr Aqueel pointed out that a member, Rasheed Mamu, had put his thumb impression on a letter.
However, Mr Mishra clarified that the member was suffering paralysis at that time.
When the matter of 22 officials getting employment on the basis of fake documents was raised, Tribal Welfare Minister Jagdish Deora said a committee set up by the Supreme Court had investigated the matter and found that documents were appropriate.
He pointed out that the committee's decision was considered final.
Technical Education Minister Vijay Shah informed that the alleged irregularities into the purchase of material for Sagar-based engineering college will be investigated.
During the Question Hour, Mr Ramdayal Prabhakar (BJP) raised the matter of officials remaining posted in the Public Education Directorate on the same post for more than three years.
He demanded that the Public Education Commissioner be suspended.
Mr Mishra announced that officials posted for more than three years at the same post will be reomved.
