MP Assly session not being curtailed: Speaker

Bhopal, Mar 21 (UNI) The budgetary demands of all departments will be passed after considerable discussion and the budget session will not be curtailed, Speaker Ishwardas Rohani told the Madhya Pradesh Assembly today.

The Speaker made this remark during zero hour when Leader of the Opposition Jamuna Devi sought to know whether the house was being adjourned sine die on March 23 though it was earlier scheduled to conclude on April 5.

The Speaker, however, sought the cooperation of the opposition to extend the sitting in the night also to enable passage of the budgetary demands.

''The opinion of the Chief Minister and Leader of the Opposition would be taken into consideration to effect any change in the scheduled sittings '', Mr Rohani added.
