Man dies after falling from platform of Metro station

New Delhi, Mar 21 (UNI) A 52-year-old man died after falling from the platform of Shastri Nagar Metro station on Line-1 this morning.

Preliminary investigations suggested that Yaspal Singh apparently jumped from non-passenger area in the rear side of the platform 1 of the station at about 1120 hrs and fell down on to the road, a spokesperson of the DMRC said.

Police have registered a case and are carrying out investigations. Metro services were not affected because of the incident, the spokesperson added.
