Panic in Chandigarh due to earthquake rumours

Chandigarh, Mar 21: Panic gripped the people following rumours of possible earthquake in the city early this morning.

Residents came out of their homes and spent the night on roads and parks.

Police said the rumours had originated from Punjab.

''The weather department however, has denied any prediction of earthquake in the city,'' police said.
