CBI arrests former Nithari Chowki-In-Charge

New Delhi, Mar 21 (UNI) The CBI today arrested former Uttar Pradesh Police Sub-Inspector Simarjeet Kaur in connection with the Nithari killings.

Kaur was the Investigating Officer in the case when it was first taken up for investigation by the local police.

She has been arrested with regard the FIR about the rape and murder of Payal, a statement said here.

Investigation conducted by the CBI revealed that she took 'gifts and gratification' for herself and other persons from accused Moninder Singh Pandher and ''framed incorrect records'' with an intention to try and ''save him'' and his servant Surender Koli from legal proceedings and punishment in the case.
