BSP MLA not to exercise vote in Council elections

Hyderabad, Mar 21 (UNI) Protesting against ''horse- trading'' and alleged irregularities in the state Legislative Council election scheduled to be held on March 23, lone Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLA L Raja Rao would not exercise his vote under MLA quota.

Speaking to newspersons here, BSP state President N Surya Prakash said the BSP MLA would not cast his vote in the elections following the directions issued by BSP President Mayawati.

He said the decision was taken to send the message to MLAs that peoples' representatives were only elected to serve the society and not for ''earning money''.
