Jabalpur, Mar 21 (UNI) Bharatiya Jan Shakti (BJS) founder-president and former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti today said her party had decided to enter the electoral arena after making comprehensive preparations in this state.

After a BJS divisional convention in this cantonment town, the firebrand sadhvi told journalists that the event witnessed deliberations on a membership drive and expansion of the party organisation.

''I am not satisfied with the work done in that regard in this state so far,'' she said.

Claiming that Bharatiya Janata Party members came under the BJS banner during bypolls to the Raisen, Vidisha and Pandhana, Ms Bharti alleged that they later became polling agents who ensured votes for the BJP.

''With a view to financially strengthening the BJS, a directive has been issued for every district unit to enrol 200 such members who will contribute Rs 100 per month. From July, the party will enrol one lakh members, in this state, from whom Rs 1,000 will be taken only once. The BJP has renounced its ideology of swadeshi, Hindutva and Ram,'' she said.

Ms Bharti quipped that five-star culture was dominating the BJP that was being led by actress Hema Malini instead of former premier Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

''Madhya Pradesh's Shivraj Singh Chouhan regime is the most corrupt in the state's history. The BJS will stage a massive demonstration in Bhopal on April 30. We will put our full strength in the Uttar Pradesh hustings but not rope in any filmstar for canvassing,'' she added.
