BJP, BJYM demands govt to appoint SC judge for inquiry
Tirupati, Mar 21 (UNI) BJP and BJYM today demanded that the government should appoint a Supreme Court sitting judge for inquiry into the alleged religious conversion in Andhra Pradesh.
Addressing a joint press conference BJYM state President Bhanu Prakash Reddy and BJP district President S Sreenivas condemned the suspension of BJP floor leader G Kishan Reddy for one day today in the state Assembly while demanding a debate on forcible conversion during the last three years after the Congress government came to power.
The state government was maintaining a 'secret agenda' on developing the Tirumala, the abode Lord Sri Venkateswara Swamy temple, on the lines of 'Vatican city', they alleged.
Forcible conversion of people into Christianity led a Post Graduate girl student to committ suicide recently at Sri Padmavathi Mahila Viswa Vidyalayam in Tirupati, they added.
