Bahrain embassy opened in New Delhi
New Delhi, Mar 21: The Kingdom of Bahrain today opened its Embassy in the capital city.
Bahrain Crown Prince Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al-Khalifa inaugurated the embassy at a colourful function in its premises at 4 Palam Marg in Vasant Vihar in South Delhi.
Bahrain is the home for nearly 2,50,000 million Indian expatriates. Bahrain, which already has a Consulate in Mumbai, is the last of the six GCC countries to open its embassy in India.
Mr Mohammed Ghassan Shaikho will be the first Ambassador of Bahrain in India.
Minister of State for External Affairs E Ahamed, Bahrain Foreign Minister Shaikh Khalid Bin Ahmed al Khalifa, Bahrain Industry and Commerce Minister Dr Hassan Fakhro and India's Ambassador in Bahrain Balakrishna Shetty were among those present on the occasion.
The Crown Prince released a book "Sukhran Bahrain" (Thank You Bahrain), authored by Bahrain-based Indian journalist Soman Baby.

told
