Assam Aifles nabs DHD ultra, seize huge cache of arms

Shillong, Mar 21 (UNI) The Assam Rifles along with the Asom police has arrested a senior Dima Halam Doagah (DHD) militant Deep Songrosa late last night from Silchar-Haflong (NH-54 E) in Asom.

Security personnel also seized an AK-47 rifle, a US made M-1 rifle, four Chinese AK rifles with bayonets, two bolt action rifles and one Chinese made rifle 7.62 mm automatic pistol along with live ammunition, Rs 3450 in cash and a vehicle, Assam Rifles Public Relation Officer Lt Colonel K R Rajkumar said here today.

Lt Colonel Rajkumar said the ultra was arrested for violating cease fire ground rules.
