Airtel launches thinnest Blackberry
New Delhi, Mar 21 (UNI) Airtel today launched the thinnest model of BlackBerry in association with wireless solutions provider Research In Motion (RIM).
Priced at Rs 31,990, the quad-band and Egde-enabled BlackBerry 8800 incorporates built-in global positioning system (GPS), RIM's new trackball system for fast and intuitive navigation, a media player, and a microSD expandable memory slot for storing music and videos.
It also offers other popular features including support for phone, email, text and instant messaging, web browser, organiser, multimedia and corporate data applications.
''We are very excited to bring the innovative and feature-rich BlackBerry 8800 to India for our high-end customers,'' company's President (Mobile Services) Sanjay Kapoor said.
The new BlackBerry 8800 also offers a ultra-bright, high resolution (320x240) landscape colour display, light-sensing technology that automatically optimises the screen, trackball and keyboard lighting for indoor, outdoor and dark environments.
