Administration should take action: Trade Union Committee

Puducherry, Mar 21 (UNI) All Trade Union Committee today urged the Puducherry administration to initiate action against the Chief Secretary who allegedly refused to admit the trade union leaders inside his chamber.

Committee President V S Abishegam in a statement here said that all trade union leaders went to the Chief Secratariate last evening after fixing an appointment.

However, the Chief Secretary Pradeep Mehra stated that as he could not accomodate more than two persons in his chamber he asked the others to get out of the chamber.

As a result no talks regarding the AFT mills were made, the release added.

If the government failed to initiate action against him the trade unions would organise massive agitations, it added.
